Rob has specialized experience in the unique challenges and requirements of high-activity seismic zones.

Robert Stadler specializes in economical structural solutions using a variety of building materials. His portfolio includes aviation, commercial, residential, healthcare, cultural, educational and sports projects. He is actively involved in developing practical tools and methods for the structural design of long-span structures and structures with unique challenges, including those in high-seismic regions. To share this knowledge, Rob is a member of the Thornton Tomasetti CAD Standards Committee and serves as a technical mentor within the firm.

Airports to Auditoriums
His work includes the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport North Terminal Redevelopment, Hamad International Airport’s Aircraft Maintenance Facility in Qatar, and a partially subterranean auditorium for Epic Systems Corporation in Verona, Wisconsin.

Laurels and Professional Contributions
In 2009, Rob received an Outstanding Young Engineer Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI). He has been a guest lecturer at SEAOI’s Student Chapter meetings at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has also been a panelist and author on topics including seismic design and stadium renovations.
