The ILMI Museum will be a new and engaging science museum that will awaken a love for science for visitors of all ages. It will be a world-class, sustainable space that offers a wide range of interactive exhibitions, hands-on experiments and spectacular science shows. ILMI will enable visitors to make their own voyages of discovery across exhibitions of geography, biology and technology, with regularly changing content and multiple layers of complexity.
We are providing façade design services to Henning Larsen Architects for the museum, which is scheduled to open in 2022.
- We are providing a range of façade consultancy services, including façade support strategies, loading requirements, thermal performance, curved glass, structural glass panels and the use of pre-cast, glass reinforced concrete and natural cladding stone.
- The building will be clad with glazing panels and large glass reinforced concrete (GRC) cladding with stone appearance to mimic the local stone found in the surroundings. The circular courtyard will feature triple height curved glass panes.
