Thornton Tomasetti conducted investigation and analysis and designed improvements to the NFL New Orleans Saints and Tulane University’s Superdome following damage by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Repairs and renovations included a full roof deck and roofing replacement, new scoreboards, new camera platforms, modifications to the catwalks and mechanical platforms and club improvements. We conducted a building structural analysis, designed retrofits necessary for installation of four new escalators, replacement of all exterior cladding, expansion of the concourse, reconstruction of the lower seating bowl, renovation of the suite level, and relocation of the press area to the upper deck.
