Structural members and assemblies undergo different loading and support conditions during erection than they withstand in their completed state. Erection engineering addresses the structure in its incomplete state, including erection procedures, the adequacy of components for the permanent building and the design of components used as temporary erection aids. Our services include assistance with selecting construction equipment, determining construction sequencing, estimating manpower and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. We also assist the erector in developing lift plans and rigging, and can produce a fully engineered erection plan and procedure for submittal to the EOR. Our logistics, equipment and site planning services include engineering checks for crane capacity, investigation of soil conditions to support equipment and optimization of crane locations. Additionally, we are experienced in crane mats and platform design, allowing crane operations to occur on complex sites.
