Expertise in Concrete Structures
Todd has extensive experience in the design of concrete structures, including high-rise commercial and residential buildings, and parking garages. His post-tensioned concrete design experience includes two-way slabs, one-way beam and slab systems, and staged-stressed transfer girders. He has also worked on several college and university projects, from classroom buildings and laboratories to performing arts centers.

Technical Leadership
Todd leads the firm’s committee on construction document standards. He is also a firm-wide technical resource for the design of post-tensioned concrete structures and has steered the development of several in-house design tools and guidelines.

Outside of Work
Growing up in Bolentown, South Carolina, Todd worked on his family’s farm raising cotton, corn, soybeans, wheat and hogs before deciding to pursue a career in structural engineering. He now lives in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood with his wife, Amy, and daughter Bo. They love to vacation at their family’s lake house on Lake Murray in South Carolina any chance they get.
