New Steel Construction: Steel Provides Excellent Solution

Constructed on the existing foundations of a building half its size, Stonecutter Court in the City of London emphasizes sustainability and modern office design with flexible space for a hybrid workforce. Aiming for net zero carbon with minimal embodied carbon, the 13-story building utilizes steelwork from electric arc furnace (EAF) production and is targeting BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold standards. Director Eddie Jump discusses some of Thornton Tomasetti’s structural design work for the project with New Steel Construction magazine.
