Vice President

Frank Freudenberger is a structural engineering leader at Thornton Tomasetti specializing in the structural design and delivery of stadiums, arenas, aviation facilities, transportation infrastructure, and other complex structures. His experience spans sports and public assembly venues, airport terminals, rail facilities, and special structures, helping clients deliver high-performance projects in challenging environments, including high-seismic regions and vibration-sensitive facilities. Frank provides strategic leadership throughout design and construction, combining expertise in structural steel and reinforced concrete systems with specialized knowledge of weld engineering, steel connection detailing, fabrication, and material performance with a practical understanding of project delivery. His work includes major sports projects worldwide, including Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and the independent structural review for the Montreal Olympic Stadium roof replacement, supporting innovative structural solutions, efficient execution, and long-term performance. He leverages detailed steel modeling and advanced digital workflows to improve coordination, enhance constructability, and support collaborative delivery methods, including design-build projects.
