Stan Raykhman specializes in forensic investigations of electrical, control, and automation systems, with a focus on marine and critical infrastructure. He investigates fires, blackouts, propulsion losses, and equipment failures to determine how and why complex systems fail.

Stan brings more than two decades of design and commissioning experience to his forensic work. His expertise includes marine automation and propulsion controls, electrical power generation and distribution, switchgear, and ACCU-classed alarm and monitoring systems for naval, commercial, and government vessels. His experience spans passenger and commercial ferry fleets, government dredges, and articulated tug and barge units, as well as control strategies for low- and medium-voltage switchgear and ABS plan review for classed vessel programs.

Stan has commissioned marine systems during dock and sea trials, giving him firsthand knowledge of how these systems perform under operating conditions. That experience informs his approach to root cause analysis and the interpretation of alarm and monitoring data to reconstruct system behavior before a casualty.
