A new arena at Baylor University has brought fans closer to the sidelines, contributing to a formidable home court advantage for the Baylor Bears. The arena will accommodate two Big 12 Conference programs for both men's and women's basketball, offering more than 7,000 seats for spectators. It also features practice facilities, office space for university operations and a development center equipped with gyms and areas dedicated to sports performance.
We provided structural design and construction engineering services to AECOM for the basketball arena.
highlights
- The arena has 160 courtside seats and 720 club seats, both connected to the club lounges. There are also 70 loge box seats and a single, 24-seat university suite.
- The pavilion holds 500 standing room positions and an adjoining practice facility for men's and women's basketball programs. There are also ancillary spaces for ticketing, food and beverage, media and security.
