Corazon del Valle is a development consisting of three six-story buildings on top of a central two-story podium offering affordable housing units and retail in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles. Rounded in form, each building contains a central courtyard to provide passive and active cooling.
We provided structural engineering services to Perkins+Will for the project, which includes 180 residential units spanning from studios to three-bedroom units, community spaces, 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and parking for approximately 200 vehicles. The buildings consist of light-framed wood construction atop a reinforced concrete podium with ground-floor retail and parking areas.
