A new mixed-use development in downtown Milwaukee is underway, bringing affordable and workforce housing to the city’s growing Deer District.

Fieldhouse Flats is a $117 million project developed by J. Jeffers & Co., in partnership with the city of Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Bucks, and Milwaukee Area Technical College. The seven-story building will include 269 apartment units above a 278-space parking structure, along with a 27,000-square-foot athletic training facility for MATC. The project also features ground-floor retail, outdoor dining, and a public plaza.

Construction will be completed in phases, with the athletic facility targeted for completion in summer 2027, followed by initial residential occupancy in fall 2027 and full completion in spring 2028.
