Abraham Calvin is a materials engineer at Thornton Tomasetti specializing in failure analysis, metallurgy, forensic engineering, and advanced manufacturing investigations. Drawing on a background in aerospace materials science and additive manufacturing, he helps clients determine the root causes of complex component failures, product non-conformities, manufacturing defects, operational incidents, and performance deviations.
Abraham’s expertise includes materials characterization, metallurgical analysis, manufacturing process evaluation, additive manufacturing technologies, and engineering failure investigations. He supports clients with accident investigations, insurance claims, litigation matters, product liability assessments, manufacturing defect evaluations, and industrial process reviews involving complex components, systems, and facilities.
In addition to his forensic and investigative work, Abraham advises organizations on advanced manufacturing strategies, Industry 4.0 implementation, digital twin applications, and emerging production technologies.
