A new housing facility for McMaster University in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, 10 Bay offers residences for graduate students as well as a parking complex. Marking the school’s first residence specifically for graduate students, the building will include amenities such as a fitness center, bicycle parking, green roofs with an outdoor running track, communal kitchens and study spaces.
We provided structural design services to Diamond Schmitt Architects for the project. The 30-story building offers 644 beds with a mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom units. The parking garage will include 265 parking spaces, primarily above grade.
