Overview
Nashville Soccer Club’s stadium stands as a testament to the city’s growing soccer culture and the club’s commitment to community, diversity and excellence. The 30,000-seat stadium reflects Nashville's spirit with multicultural food, inclusive design, premium seating options and live music experiences, aiming to attract both die-hard fans and first-time attendees.
We provided erection engineering services to LPR Construction for the project, which was finished on time and under budget. Geodis Park is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States.
Highlights
- We reviewed the temporary stability of the steel structure during erection, including required temporary bracing, stability of rakers during setting and stability and temporary guying of roof canopy cantilever trusses. Review included the effects from precast seating units erected on the partially completed structural frame.
- We reviewed the temporary stability of steel and CLT hybrid canopy structures during erection.
- Roof canopy cantilever trusses extend 85 feet over the seating bowl. We provided anticipated required upset elevations to the erector at each truss tip to achieve the total deflection prior to deck placement within the final tolerances prescribed by the engineer of record.
- We provided a sealed erection procedure with detailed 3D views of the step-by-step erection sequence and provided minimum bolt-up requirements for the field crew at each step of erection.
