Overview
Hotel Yountville is a luxury resort and spa located in the heart of Napa Valley wine country. The present hotel facility is situated on a 5-acre land parcel and includes a total of 80 guest rooms, along with a swimming pool, spa and common area amenities structures.
We completed a high-level feasibility study to consider vertical expansion of some of the buildings at the resort. This study included structural, MEP and architectural considerations as well as conceptual level cost estimates for the work anticipated to achieve the planned expansion.
Highlights
- The resort contains primarily one and two-story wood framed structures clad with either stone or stone facing.
- It is located in an area with seismic activity that will drive the structural solutions.
- The site is directly adjacent to Hopper Creek, which also poses geotechnical and site planning challenges.
