Brian Shen is the San Francisco office director and a leader in Thornton Tomasetti’s Forensics practice. He has extensive experience in the structural design, assessment and investigation of projects of a variety of building types and sizes and types. While Brian specializes in new building design and existing building renovations for the healthcare market, he has considerable knowledge of other market sectors, including commercial and life sciences. During his career, Brian has collaborated with such architects as HOK, Perkins and Will, HDR, KMD Architects and WRNS Studio on projects throughout California. His favorite part of design jobs is working with other team members in the field, which he does on a regular basis. Brian is a member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
