Having a background in the construction industry helps when creative solutions are needed to solve challenging problems.

Rodney Baxter is a key member of the firm’s Construction Engineering practice. He has more than 15 years of experience in structural design and analysis, with specializations in structural steel design, fabrication and erection engineering. He collaborates with construction managers, contractors, fabricators, erectors and other project partners to improve efficiency through methods like advanced project delivery, integrated modeling and connection design.

From Long-Spans to Tall Towers
During his career, Rodney has been involved in a wide range of projects in the United States and internationally. He has worked on a host of large sports venues, such as Yankee Stadium in Bronx, New York, and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and long-spans, including Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona and massive aircraft maintenance hangars at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Rodney also has many tall commercial and residential towers, healthcare and cultural facilities to his credit.

Outside of Work
The Kansas native previously worked in Thornton Tomasetti’s Kansas City, Missouri, office. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking and powerlifting. Rodney also likes to get creative with such hobbies as cooking, making stained glass and lapidary.
