Alan Jalón is an architect at Thornton Tomasetti who specializes in building-enclosure consulting for existing buildings and new structures. His expertise includes the evaluation, design and commissioning of façade, roofing, waterproofing, curtain wall, and glazing systems. He helps building owners, architects, and contractors solve complex building-performance challenges involving moisture intrusion, air and water leakage, thermal performance, and long-term durability.
Alan’s portfolio spans a wide variety of building types, including commercial, healthcare, life science, higher education, residential, mixed-use, and institutional projects. His envelope diagnostic and restoration work extends the service life and resilience of buildings of every vintage. He is passionate about translating building-science principles into practical, constructible solutions that reduce risk, improve performance, and help clients make informed decisions across the life cycle of their assets.
