Liling Cao specializes in forensic investigations, advanced analytics, and assessment of specialized designs and compromised structures. Her experience spans investigation, litigation support, stabilization and rehabilitation, impact and blast engineering, condition assessment, and emergency response. She draws on multiple areas of expertise to develop solutions for structural deficiencies and improve stability in commercial buildings, temporary structures, infrastructure, industrial facilities, and more. She applies linear, nonlinear, and dynamic analysis to evaluate structural behavior under wind, earthquake, blast, and impact loads and uses forensic information modeling and visualization to communicate complex findings clearly. As leader of the advanced analytics group within the firm’s Forensics and Investigations practice, she helps advance research and development through academic and industry partnerships focused on innovation in the AEC industry.
