Originally opened in 1930, the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a full-service medical center with specialized capabilities in cardiology, oncology, trauma and women’s services. The expansion featured a 123,600-square-foot, five-level tower, a catheterization laboratory, a 19,145-square-foot surgery department expansion, a 7,825-square-foot surgery department shell expansion, a 3,000-square-foot surgery department renovation and a connecting tunnel. Lastly a 176,000-square-foot, 550-car parking structure helped support the increased number of patients, patient’s families and healthcare professionals.
We provided structural design services to HKS for the hospital’s 2005 expansion.
