This 1.2 million-square-foot expansion and redevelopment project nearly doubled the physical capacity of the University of California's Merced campus.
The Merced 2020 Project - the largest Public-Private Partnership (PPP) social infrastructure project completed in U.S. history - is a 1.2 million-square-foot campus expansion and redevelopment project that nearly doubled the physical capacity of the University of California's Merced campus. The development was built on a 219-acre, university-owned parcel and includes new teaching facilities, research laboratories and faculty offices along with an additional 1,700 beds for student housing.
We provided providing structural design services for three scopes of the project: a wellness and counseling center, housing facilities and an arts and computational sciences building.
In less than 2 years, we’ve designed, permitted, built, fitted out and commissioned this 150,000 sf residential building, without doubt a monumental and proud accomplishment which would not have been achievable without your valuable service and support. Please accept our sincere appreciation for all your efforts in making the impossible possible.
