Using advanced engineering technology, Minsu Kim provides R&D support, project management and technical assurance services to clients in the energy sector. He specializes in asset integrity assessments and the analysis and design of oil and gas, petrochemical and nuclear facilities, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability and safety. Minsu has extensive experience dealing with structures subject to dynamic environmental loads, thermal, blast and impact loading and marine loading, such as offshore platforms and various assets at onshore refineries and petrochemical and nuclear power plants. He uses finite element analysis to understand the nonlinear behavior of large interacting multibody structural, geotechnical and mechanical systems.An active member of the engineering community, Minsu serves on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ V&V 60 for the Verification and Validation of Computational Modeling in Energy Systems Committee.
