William Bast heads up the Renewal practice in our Chicago office and oversees projects in the Windy City and across the Midwest. Bill has extensive experience in building renovations and restorations, façade evaluations and repair programs, due diligence and condition assessments. His work also includes failure investigations, litigation support and peer reviews. He partners with building owners, property managers, attorneys, architects and contractors to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects. Over a career that spans more than three decades, Bill has amassed an eclectic portfolio. Among the Chicagoland highlights are the Wrigley Field 1060 Project to modernize the iconic ballpark, the relocation of the 1,020-ton historic Harriet F. Rees House, one of the heaviest residential building moves in the U.S., and providing consulting services for renowned acrobat Nik Wallenda’s untethered tightrope walks over the Chicago River in 2014 and several renovation projects at the Navy Pier.
