Overview
Transforming the downtown Milwaukee skyline, The Couture will replace an underused transit center with a multimodal transit hub for the community. As a key piece of the Lakefront Gateway Project, the 44-story tower - which will be the state’s tallest residential building upon completion - will bring vibrancy to the lakefront site.
We are providing structural design and façade engineering services to Rinka for the 860,000-square-foot mixed-use development.
Highlights
- In addition to 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space located in the podium, the slender, 507-foot-high residential tower will include 312 high-end apartment units.
- The site contains a new light rail connection that passes through the podium and over the top of the two-story basement parking levels as well as a pedestrian bridge connecting the building to Milwaukee’s lakefront.
- Façade engineering services include contract document review, subcontractor submission reviews, and on site observations of curtain wall, window wall, storefront and structural glass systems.
