We’re helping to bring better healthcare to residents of Northern Virginia with a new hospital and outpatient center.
A new 110-bed hospital and 140,000-square-foot outpatient center – an expansion of healthcare provider Inova’s Franconia-Springfield HealthPlex – will soon provide the surrounding community with access to state-of-the-art care close to home. We‘re providing structural and acoustics and vibration engineering services to the joint architectural team of Ballinger and Ennead for the project.
The new hospital’s two towers will encompass multiple procedural rooms, private rooms, an emergency room, and a diagnostic imaging department, while the ambulatory surgery and outpatient center will house physicians’ offices and procedural rooms. The project also includes a 42,000-square-foot central utility plant. The structural system is engineered to support advanced medical equipment, resilient operations, and long-term flexibility while meeting strict performance criteria for vibration control and acoustics in critical clinical spaces.
