Mark Tamaro oversees operations in our mid-Atlantic and South region, which includes offices in key cities across Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Texas as well as in Washington, D.C. Mark joined Thornton Tomasetti in 1992 and has a wealth of experience in the structural design of new buildings and the investigation and renovation of existing structures, including historic buildings and monuments. He specializes in large-scale federal projects and is well-versed in fast-track and design-build delivery methods. Mark’s portfolio includes a variety of steel, concrete, masonry and timber-framed buildings for both private and government clients. Many of his projects have incorporated anti-terrorism force protection measures. Mark volunteers as a structural specialist for Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Urban Search and Rescue Maryland Task Force One, serving as a first responder to building collapses.
