Our People

Nezar Abraham S.E., P.E.

Principal

Nezar Abraham specializes in forensic engineering, drawing on structural design and analysis experience in the nuclear energy industry to resolve complex performance issues in buildings and infrastructure. At Thornton Tomasetti, Nezar focuses on emergency response and forensic investigations, including failure and root cause analysis for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures. He assesses damage and risk from natural and man-made hazards – including hurricanes, tornadoes, and explosions – for owners, insurers, attorneys, and project teams. His work often supports post-loss claims and resilience planning for insurance and forensics and investigations assignments. Nezar applies high-fidelity finite element analysis and other advanced analytical methods to evaluate building structure and envelope performance, simulate hazard effects, and inform repair, rehabilitation, and code-upgrade strategies.
