Chicago’s first freestanding cancer center will offer both inpatient and outpatient services dedicated to treatment and research. The eight-story building is designed for future flexibility, with the ability to add four additional floors during phase two of construction.
We are providing structural design and construction engineering services to CannonDesign for the project, which will house spaces for treating cancer using the latest technology, clinical trial spaces, patient floors, cancer prevention services and community outreach. The 575,000-square-foot building will include 80 inpatient beds, 90 consultation and outpatient exam rooms and a dedicated urgent care clinic. Amenities will include a café, wellness and meeting spaces and public art installations.
