Chris Minerva leads Thornton Tomasetti’s Toronto office. He has considerable experience in structural design, planning and project management for a range of project types, including commercial, residential, resorts, data centers, healthcare and education facilities. Chris has a reputation as a creative, hands-on engineer. One of his key strengths is the ability to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions, particularly on projects with complex geometries and architectural expressions. He works in close collaboration with the project team to employ different materials in creative ways, proving that structural function and architectural form can co-exist. He also has a depth of experience with public-private partnership models, particularly those used by Infrastructure Ontario, the entity that oversees P3 projects in the province. He has led structural teams for planning design and compliance, structural bid teams, and implementation teams for a number of projects.
