Nico Azel is a designer and developer who works with Thornton Tomasetti’s CORE studio to support resilience solutions at the building, campus and community scales. He helps make the built environment more adaptive, efficient and resilient by using computational methods and data-driven workflows to integrate parametric design, urban-systems analysis and environmental performance modeling into planning and design processes. With expertise in urban planning and landscape architecture, Nico specializes in developing interactive simulations of stormwater runoff to help clients prepare for and respond to heavy precipitation events.
