About

Joel Barron has extensive experience designing structural systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, residential, retail and sports projects in the U.S. and internationally. His project credits range from New York’s Yankee Stadium and the 50-story Devon Energy Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to two office buildings and a hotel in The Epic development in Dallas, Texas. Joel also led the engineering team for the seismic retrofit of the Robert A. Young Federal Building in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a new patient care tower at BJC HealthCare’s main campus, also in St. Louis, which required high seismic detailing. Joel is knowledgeable in the design of concrete and steel structural systems as well as the use of innovative, sustainable materials like mass timber, such as in The Offices at Southstone Yards project. While the majority of his work involves new construction, he is also skilled in renovation, expansion, modification and repositioning projects.
