Sam Summerville leads a team of skilled design and construction inspection professionals recognized for its technical excellence and ability to assist clients in designing, rehabilitating and maintaining critical transportation infrastructure. He is also responsible for strategic planning and development, fostering the development of new technologies and services to meet client needs and supporting the firm’s growth targets for the practice. Sam has more than three decades of experience in the transportation field. His work includes bridge inspections, new bridge design, and the rehabilitation of major structures, urban interchanges and highway structures across North America. Sam’s design credits include the Metrorrey light-rail viaduct in Monterrey, Mexico and the design for a new orthotropic deck for the Throgs Neck Bridge in New York City. His work on New York City’s Manhattan Bridge spans a period of more than 25 years and includes five major rehabilitation contracts.
