Scott Wood brings extensive experience in security consulting and protective design at Thornton Tomasetti, helping clients strengthen safety, security, and resilience for government, commercial, higher education, and critical infrastructure facilities. He leads multidisciplinary teams within our Protective Design & Security practice to deliver integrated solutions that address physical security, threat and vulnerability assessments, and risk-informed planning across the full project lifecycle. Scott draws on deep expertise in blast and ballistic protection, hardening strategies, and security design integration to mitigate a wide range of intentional threats. He also coordinates closely with Thornton Tomasetti's specialists in electronic security, IT infrastructure, and AV systems to create holistic, performance-based security solutions tailored to each client's risk profile. Scott leads the Washington, DC Protective Design & Security team, where he has supported projects for federal agencies, Fortune 500 clients, and major universities.
