About

John Deerkoski has more than 30 years of experience providing transportation engineering services to public and private clients. As leader of our Transportation practice, John is responsible for strategic planning and implementation as well as managing teams in the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of roadway, transit and railway bridges, tunnels and related structures. He is known for developing creative and cost-effective solutions for challenging projects. During his career, John has built up a diverse portfolio that includes many of New York City’s major bridges and significant transit and infrastructure projects. His design work includes the Governor Mario M. Cuomo, Verrazano-Narrows, Ed Koch Queensboro and Brooklyn Bridges, Queens Midtown Tunnel and Grand Central Terminal as well as projects for Metro-North Railroad, Long Island Rail Road, and New Jersey Transit. John specializes in design-build project delivery methods and developing long-term resilience strategies for transit design and operations.
