Two Thornton Tomasetti MVPs, Darren Hartman and Bill Edwards, have been named to the Sports Business Journal's Power Players list. Each year, SBJ’s editorial staff recognizes those professionals who are raising the bar in sports venue design and development and keeping fans entertained and safe. Darren, who heads our Construction Engineering practice, makes the delivery of complex projects more efficient by integrating design and construction teams early in the process. He specializes in Advanced Project Delivery™ methods, erection engineering, and construction and field engineering support. His portfolio includes some of the most innovative and iconic venues in sports, such as Climate Pledge Arena, U.S. Bank Stadium, MetLife Stadium and Yankee Stadium. Bill leads the firm’s Security Design & Consulting team and provides customized solutions for protecting sports facilities, the teams, personnel, and fans. His work encompasses everything from threat assessment and security design to drone detection and active shooter analysis.
