Seattle’s new Climate Pledge Arena is a unique blend of the historic and state-of-the-art. To retain the former KeyArena’s landmarked roof and exterior façade, the project team had to support the 22,000-ton roof while the demolition of the existing structure and excavation and construction of the new seating bowl went on below.
