We build environmental metrics into our analyses, so they take into account everything from daylighting and solar heat gain to energy use and wind loads. With tools like Spotlight, by our CORE studio, we can track the volumes of materials like concrete, steel, timber and plastic. And from those measurements, we can calculate a project’s carbon footprint. If the material quantities change, the model automatically adjusts the associated quantity of carbon.
