Jeff led the structural design of Block 21, a 1-million-square-foot development in Texas that includes the theatre for TV music program “Austin City Limits.”

Jeff Elliott serves as office director for Thornton Tomasetti’s Dallas and Houston locations. With the firm since 2001, he specializes in the structural design, analysis and project management of new buildings as well as the renovation and expansion of existing structures. He has been involved in a wide range of projects, including commercial and residential towers, higher education and healthcare facilities and mixed-use and hospitality properties.

Expert in Complex Design
During his career, Jeff developed a particular expertise leading teams in the design of large, challenging projects. His portfolio includes the Perot Family Turtle Creek Offices in Dallas, the Fairmont Austin convention center hotel and the W Austin Hotel and Residences, which features a 2,750-seat theater that is home to the PBS music program “Austin City Limits.” He was also responsible for several projects for the Texas Health Resources health care system. Outside the Lone Star State, Jeff’s work includes the 61-story 10 Hudson Yards in New York City, the Children’s Interactive Museum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the Four Seasons Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

He is the co-author of  “Moody’s New Magic,” an article on the renovation and expansion of the Southern Methodist University Moody Coliseum, published in Civil Engineering magazine in 2014. The coliseum is just one of more than 10 projects that he has overseen for the institution.

Outside of Work
A Texas resident since high school, Jeff lives in a very busy household in the Dallas area with his wife and five wonderful kids.
