As Co-CEO, Mike Squarzini provides strategic, operational and financial leadership for the firm. He guides the development of long- and short-term objectives, and programs and policies necessary for achieving our goals. Mike is responsible for decisions related to the firm’s current operations and future growth, including the exploration of new business lines and geographies, partnerships, and strategic investments and merger and acquisition opportunities. He is also charged with fostering a future-focused culture of innovation and social responsibility, one that aligns with our purpose and values. Mike joined Thornton Tomasetti following graduate school. During his career, he led key roles on such projects as Yankee Stadium and Hudson Yards in New York City, Uber Technologies’ San Francisco headquarters and Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan. Prior to his appointment as Co-CEO in 2020, Mike held various leadership roles, including oversight of all the firm’s global regions.

Mike is vice chair of the New York City Buildings Structural Technical Committee, which develops and reviews changes to the city's construction code.
