Amanda Garvey specializes in higher education sustainability consulting at Thornton Tomasetti, helping colleges, universities, and other mission-driven organizations plan and deliver high-performance, low-carbon buildings and campuses. She develops sustainability and decarbonization strategies through integrated consulting that aligns energy performance, embodied carbon, occupant comfort, health and well-being, and long-term resilience goals.

Amanda guides early-stage campus and portfolio planning, facilitates collaborative visioning workshops, and develops performance-driven strategies that help teams define priorities, evaluate constraints, and chart practical pathways toward net-zero and climate-resilient outcomes. She also advises project teams on green building certifications, holistic materials, and other sustainability consulting services that connect client climate commitments to actionable design and operations decisions.
