Overview

The Indoor Equestrian Event Arena for the Kentucky Horse Park was designed to attract world class equestrian events; it hosted the World Equestrian Games in 2010. It features an oval-shaped 135-foot by 300-foot arena floor, along with warm-up and staging accommodations for horses. A 200-foot long-span roof reaches across the event floor. Supertrusses on each side feature a segmented bottom chord to improve sightlines for the upper bowl and suites. The arena comprises amenities such as concessions, meeting rooms and exhibition spaces. The multi-purpose facility with a rigging capacity of 120,000 pounds can accommodate events such as concerts, trade shows and conventions.
